The Graduate Medical Education and Internal Medicine Residency Program at Hospital de La Concepción is a vital department within our institution, affiliated with the Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU) since 2002.

Hospital de La Concepción is a Catholic organization established in 1511, making it the oldest health institution in America. Accredited by the Joint Commission and leading the way in healthcare in Puerto Rico, we have a highly experienced medical faculty, cutting-edge technology, and a pioneering energy cogeneration system.

In February 2004, we relocated to a new facility with 187 beds, providing a modern educational environment for primary care practice.

Our Graduate Medical Education Office, situated on the second floor of the hospital, oversees all educational processes for our residents during their training. Office hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office can be reached at (787) 892-1860 ext. 2600, 2605.
